In celebration of National Veterinary Technician Week, the board members from the New Jersey Veterinary Technician and Assistant (NJVTA) sat down with dvm360 to discuss a little bit about their backgrounds. Board members Harriet Terodemos, MS, CVT; Raymond Butler, AAS, CVT, LATg; Nicole Humphreys, MBA, BS, CVT; and Michael Azzarello, MBA, BS, LVT, CVT, shared what influenced each of them to become general members and then board members of NJVTA.

Below is a partial transcript. Listen to the full video for more.

Nicole Humphreys, MBA, BS, CVT: My reason for wanting to be involved in the NJVTA was so we can give technicians in our state a voice and allow them to live up to the potential that they not only see in themselves but what they can do for their hospitals and companies that they work for. As an educator, it means a lot to me to be able to use my skills and expertise in the 27 years that I had to try to mentor others so they can become the great technicians they want to be moving forward.
