In the latest episode of The Vet Blast Podcast, Byron L. Blagburn MS, PhD, DACVM Hon (Parasitology), explores heartworm preventive treatments and explains why veterinary professionals need to stress to pet owners the importance of taking premptive action.

Speaking on the trends in prevalance of heartworm, Blagburn said: "You would have thought that heartworm would go away, wouldn't you? We've got all these excellent preventives.
