Shutterstock.comCan a negative coworker relationship make or break a job? According to our 2017 dvm360 Toxic Teams Survey, it can.

Eighty-one percent of veterinary professionals said they had experienced a level of discomfort in a coworker relationship that made them consider leaving the practice, while 92 percent said such friction had changed their attitude about work.

For some respondents, an uncomfortable coworker relationship served as an impetus to change their work habits (51 percent) and/or their schedules (29 percent), presumably to avoid conflict.
