Tools to celebrate Bring Your Cat to the Vet Day

Article

The American Association of Feline Practitioners offers a toolbox of client education tools to promote routine checkups for cats.

Eighty-three percent of new cats are taken to the veterinarian within the first year of ownership, but more than half don't return for regular veterinary care, according to the Bayer Veterinary Care Usage Study III: Feline Findings. To change this trend, the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) is helping veterinary teams promote National Bring Your Cat to the Vet Day on Saturday, August 22. They've created free tools to educate pet owners about why their cats need to see the veterinarian regularly and tips to make veterinary visits less stressful for cats-and for cat owners.
