These pets make the grade

When clients visit for routine checkups or care, send them home with a pet health report card, suggests Martha Harmon, office manager at Riverdale Animal Hospital in Riverdale, Ga. "Clients love it when our doctor offers them a report card and discusses any findings with them," Harmon says. For example, the report card might note that the pet needs heartworm prevention or behavior training. Harmon says the report cards improve compliance and give clients a written report to take home and share with family members.
