Think your practice is a zoo? Try visiting one. That's what the team at Sanford Animal Hospital in Sanford, N.C., did. Team members and their families took in the zoo at their leisure, then they met up at the outdoor pavilion for hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the fixin's.

Team get-togethers are a great way to remind team members how much they're valued, says Nancy Humphrey, RVT, a technician at Sanford Animal Hospital. "It also reminds us that everyone has a life outside of work," she says. "And when you get down to it, our team is really one happy, animal-loving family."
