Staff members at Danforth Animal Hospital in Edmond, Okla., turned their monthly staff meetings into a roundtable discussion, says Pam Crabtree, RVT. Each team member's required to bring a topic to the luncheon table, whether it's something they need to improve or a pat on the back for another staff member.
"Now staff meetings are forums where team members share ideas and iron out strategies so day-to-day activities run as smoothly as possible," says Crabtree. "It helps us realize that we're all on the same team. And this approach means that you don't hear from just a few vocal people each time."
