New dog cancer website resource

Article

Site shares success stories and tips for dog owners.

The next time you and your veterinary team members are faced with a client who's emotionally distraught because of his or her dog's cancer diagnosis, remember that the best support can sometimes come from those who are dealing with the same issues. Consider connecting the client with others whose dogs also have a cancer diagnosis.

The 42 Rules to Fight Dog Cancer, a compilation of real dog cancer success stories told by 21 different pet owners, and its companion website, FightDogCancer.com are now available to do just that.

Along with real-life stories, the online community offers a searchable database so that owners can see what other dog owners have done to help their pets. Clients can also log in to share their cancer-fighting stories. And besides connecting pet owners and functioning as an online support group, all profits from the book and website are donated to pet charities.
