Who is your most memorable patient or client?

One of our clients was so in love with his Doberman. One day his dog escaped from his yard. A frightened neighbor went after the dog with electric hedge clippers. The dog was rushed in for emergency surgery. Once the dog recovered, the man was so grateful that every time he visited our hospital he volunteered his services for almost a year.

What's the strangest experience you've had in practice?

I adored my first cat cat, Ebonyzer, so much I told him to never die. He developed cancer when he was 8 and although three doctors said he would not survive the year, he lived to be almost 20. While I struggled with the decision of what to do with his remains, they disappeared from the hospital. Soon after, a black kitten was discovered at our practice. He looks, acts, and talks just like Ebonyzer. I call him Kismet.
