The key to convincing clients to schedule dental appointments for their pets might just have everything to do with your pen,
says Louise Dunn, a practice management consultant with Snowgoose Veterinary Management Consultants in Greensboro, N.C. She
offers this tip to market your dental program:
"I know a practice where team members attach toothbrushes to the pens at the front desk," says Dunn. "When clients ask, 'What's
the deal with these toothbrushes?' receptionists respond, 'It's so we can remember to tell you how important it is to schedule
dental cleanings for your pets.' It opens up the dialogue, and it stops clients from taking the pens."
