Maybe. Even though consuming consciously is trendy in other industries, in veterinary practices the answer to whether there's
a widespread demand for green products depends on who you ask. "Not too many clients ask about eco-friendly, natural, or organic
products," says Karen Sabatini, a Firstline Editorial Advisory Board member and a receptionist at Ardmore Animal Hospital in Ardmore, Pa. "And the number of clients
who do ask has been consistent over the years."

On the other hand, Gina Toman, a Firstline board member and a veterinary assistant with Seaside Animal Care in Calabash, N.C., says she's seeing much more interest
at her practice. "There's been a big shift in our practice toward organic and green products since the pet food recall, although
most client requests are for natural and organic food recommendations," she says.
