Some bloopers are too funny to forget. Realize that others may replay your gaffe and that it's OK to join in on the joke.

Saying your sorry shows maturity and respect. Be sincere and specific and you'll only need to say it once.
4. Look ahead
Once you've made amends, move on. Dwelling on the misstep will only get you down.
5. Act quickly
Never ignore a mistake in the hopes that no one will notice. Show everyone you're responsible by owning up to your flub immediately.
