For reconstituting medications such as amoxicillin drops or amoxicillin drops with clavulanic acid, the practice team at Occidental
Veterinary Hospital in Occidental, Calif., uses an 8-oz dispensing bottle with a re-autoclaved 12-ml syringe. "We cut the
tip off the bottle so the syringe fits into the top, and we keep the bottle filled with regular tap water," says veterinary
assistant Betsy McConnell. "This makes it fast and easy to just draw up the needed amount of water." If you try this at your
practice, remember to change the water in the dispensing bottle every day, McConnell says.
