A combo for NSAID compliance

Article

Guarantee follow-ups.

To help keep a close eye on pets that are on NSAIDs, team members at McAfee Animal Hospital in Valparaiso, Ind., created a blood panel combination. "The panel consists of initial blood work—we use our surgical prescreening serology—and another panel again in four weeks," says Amy Beckman, office manager. "After the second panel, we recheck pets every year, unless they're 7 years or older, in which case we recheck every six months."

The cost of the blood work as a combination saves clients $40 and also ensures—because they've already paid for it—that they'll be back in four weeks, Beckman says. "It's a win-win for all."
