How many times have you had a client ask, "Are there any side effects to Fluffy's medication?" Or perhaps you've heard, "Ever since Joey went on that medicine, he started sneezing uncontrollably." No matter what the phrase or condition, one thing remains the same: Clients are concerned about how drugs affect their pets
To help those who are concerned-or just curious-the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has updated its comprehensive list of adverse drug reactions for pets. You can download the user-friendly list for free from the FDA's Web site. To search for a drug, click the letter corresponding to the active ingredient's name. Ingredients are listed alphabetically, and the reactions are listed in order of frequency from highest to lowest.
